People often say one thing and choose another. On a questionnaire, people describe who they want to appear to be, not who they are in real life. GLUE gets to know a person in conversation and calculates how they will behave around others: in a couple, in a shared venture, in a team. It works both for your clients and inside your company.
Why it matters
- Conflict at work is the norm, not the exception: 85% of employees face it, and on average it takes more than two hours a week. The main cause people name is not workload or money but a clash of personalities: 49%. Survey of 5,000 employees in nine countries, CPP, 2008
- Personal conflict lowers a team’s results. This is a consistent finding across 116 studies and 8,880 teams. Meta-analysis by de Wit, Greer and Jehn, 2012
- Cohesive teams play better: in sport the link between cohesion and results ranges from moderate to strong. Meta-analysis of 46 studies, Carron et al., 2002
- Teams whose members understand each other almost without words perform better: a shared understanding of the task and of each other is noticeably linked to results. Meta-analysis of 65 studies, DeChurch and Mesmer-Magnus, 2010
GLUE shows where your people’s personalities will clash and where they will understand each other almost without words, before it happens for real.
For your clients
One on one
A matchmaking agency or a dating service.
A client asks for someone “tall, with a sense of humour” and ends up happy with someone quite different. GLUE talks to each client and shows which couples really work. You introduce the people who have a chance, not the ones whose forms matched.
An accelerator or a founders’ community.
Two people are about to start a venture together. GLUE lives through their startup a thousand times and shows where they will split and what to agree on, before they divide the equity.
Groups
A club, a school, an organiser of programmes and trips.
You bring people together in groups and pairs. GLUE suggests who to put with whom so that the group gels instead of falling apart in the second week.
Inside your company
Team
A manager wants to understand their team.
GLUE joins the work chat, gets to know each person in a private conversation and shows how the team will behave under pressure: who will take the decision, where it will crack, which line-up of a project group will work best.
A sports club or a coach.
How the players will work together on the field and off it, and who will lead the team at a hard moment.
One on one
Two partners, a manager and a deputy, a mentor and a newcomer.
How these two will work together and what they should agree on in advance.
Employees take part voluntarily. The manager sees the result of the simulation, not people’s conversations.
How it works
- 01
A person talks to GLUE wherever it suits them: in your app, on your site, in a messaging app or in a work chat.
- 02
The conversation builds a portrait. You receive the portrait’s identifier, not the portrait itself.
- 03
You name the identifiers and the question: life together, friendship, a shared venture, teamwork. GLUE lives through a thousand versions and returns the result.
No questionnaires and no personal data
GLUE runs no surveys and asks for no surnames, addresses or documents. It talks in its own way, like a conversation partner: it offers scenes and situations, watches what a person does in them and hears what is left between the lines, including where the person holds something back. There is a complex system behind this, and we built it ourselves.
We do not know who this person is: the name, contact details and account stay with you. We do not sell the data or pass it to advertisers, and we delete it at your request.
What you get
- the probability of a good outcome and the confidence band around it;
- how it usually ends;
- where people choose differently and where the bond cracks;
- on request, a written breakdown for each person.
Getting connected
For now we onboard companies on request. Tell us about your business, and we will show you how to build GLUE into it.
